Yes! Need a break? 7x7 recommends a drive north to Tomales Bay, and agree! In fact, that’s exactly what I did last Saturday, determined not to let a bout of homesickness get the best of me. While I didn’t stay overnight, I did reclaim the Marshall Store (pictured), eating oysters and drinking Diet Coke overlooking the bay. Bonus: the mustard flowers (which Napa valley growers use in vineyards to protect their grapes from animals) are stunning. Turn off route 1 for a hilly, insanely scenic drive filled with many, many happy cows.
